We have a posting on Trialect soliciting applications for The Canadian Institute For Advanced Research Azrieli Global Scholar Program. CIFAR is seeking to assemble a global cohort. There are no geographical restrictions on who may apply to this program and applicants in developing countries are encouraged. Global Scholars receive $100,000 CDN in undesignated research support. These funds are intended to support a Scholar’s capacity to conduct research. Possible uses include, but are not limited to: teaching release, student support, and research assistant salaries. An important expectation is that they have to attend meetings of their designated CIFAR research program (usually 2-3 per year, depending on the program) in Canada and various locations around the world. Some of the areas include, but not limited to, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Neurosciences – Brain development. We are reaching out to see if your junior faculty would be interested.
